Tsavo East & Tsavo West

Tsavo Safari Tours.

Kenya’s largest national park is the coast’s closest safari country. Explore Tsavo East and Tsavo West with trusted local planning, easily combined with Mombasa, Diani or the Taita highlands.

Tsavo sits between Nairobi and the Kenya Coast, which makes it the natural safari choice for travellers based in Mombasa or Diani. Its eastern section is open and vast; the western side is greener and more scenic, with springs, viewpoint hills and the Shetani lava flows.

Tsavo safari from the coast

Most coast visitors reach Tsavo East by road in about three hours from Mombasa. A typical safari itinerary spends two to three days on game drives and can be combined with a coast stay, or extended into the neighbouring Taita highlands for mountain viewpoints.

Tsavo East or Tsavo West?

Tsavo East suits travellers who want the classic open-park safari in limited time. Tsavo West adds more varied scenery, including Mzima Springs wildlife viewing. Some itineraries combine both parks or pair a park visit with hikes in Taita Taveta.
